Welcome to Percam Clinic, located on London’s prestigious Harley Street. We are excited to introduce the Thread Facelift, an innovative non-surgical facelift procedure. This treatment is specifically designed to rejuvenate, regenerate, and enhance the structural integrity of your face, providing results similar to those of a traditional surgical facelift but without the requirement for invasive surgery.
The Thread Facelift procedure utilises specially designed threads that are delicately inserted into the skin using an ultra-fine needle. Soluble PDO (polydioxanone) threads have a long history in the medical field, particularly in surgical applications.
Recent studies have revealed that PDO has an impressive ability to not only relax muscles and tendons, but also initiate the neocollagenesis process. This process stimulates the production of new collagen, which is an essential component for maintaining youthful and radiant skin. Furthermore, PDO promotes the production of elastin and hyaluronic acid, which are crucial components for preserving the youthful and hydrated appearance of the skin.

A thread lift (face neck) is a delicate non-surgical, cosmetic procedure that gently lifts your sagging skin, returning it to its original contours. For most clients, it can be a less invasive alternative to a surgical facelift without the cost, potential risks and downtime.
Thread life procedure uses a fine needle to loop fine threads beneath the skin. The threads are inserted in a transverse pattern, where they can be raised and adjusted in order to lift the skin to a more flattering position. Each individual thread is attached to the tissues of the treated area, and over time, the threads become secure as the bodies own collagen begins to anchor them into place resulting in the much improved look.
During your appointment, our expert clinicians will go over your goals and expectations and propose a treatment plan to achieve your desired effect. Your clinician will then lay out your treatment plan. Your procedure will then begin.
The PDO thread is inserted into the skin through a very fine needle. Depending on the area to be treated, the thread is introduced into either the skin itself, the subcutaneous fat, or the muscle.
Different lengths and thicknesses of thread are used for different areas of the face. The threads are naturally absorbed by the body in six to eight months, however, the effect of the treatment can last for up to two years.
A lifted appearance can be seen immediately following the treatment, however, the results will improve over the following days and weeks as the PDO stimulates neocollagenesis, which in turn produces collagen. The overall texture of the skin is improved; it becomes thicker, tighter and firmer and fine lines and wrinkles are smoothed away.
The results will vary by person and will depend on many factors such as the severity of the conditions, general health and lifestyles of the individual client.
Generally yes. However, your clinician will discuss your options and eligibility during the consultation session. This treatment is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
The main side effect is bruising. The degree of bruising varies not only depending on the area being treated, but also from person to person. However, you do need to be aware that considerable bruising could possibly occur and plan your social calendar or work commitments around this. We can show you “after” pictures which show examples of non-bruising, mild bruising and more obvious bruising.
