Dermal fillers are a non-invasive treatment used to restore youth and volume to the face. As we age, our skin begins to lose its elasticity and natural hydration. This, combined with the effects of gravity, can lead to lines, wrinkles and sagging of the skin.
Dermal fillers can plump up your skin, smooth wrinkles and fill out deep lines by replacing the collagen lost due to natural ageing or skin damage. The filler adds volume, restores shape and gives a fuller, fresher appearance.
Premium dermal fillers are injected in small controlled doses just under the surface of the skin of the area to be treated. This fills out the sunken areas and lines to give a smoother, firmer and more refreshed appearance. Depending on the type of dermal filler used, results can last from 6 to 18 months.
Dermal fillers can be used for:
- Plump thin lips
- Enhance shallow contours
- Soften facial creases and wrinkles
- Improve the appearance of recessed scars
- Tear trough
- Cheek enhancement
We all want to look and feel our best and dermal fillers offer a simple and painless way to knock years off your appearance. Dermal fillers are completely safe and restore a youthful appearance.

Hyaluronic acid is a substance that is naturally present in the human body. Dermal filler or Hyaluronic Acid is made of synthetic substances. It is used for injection in the dermis for the purpose of augmenting soft tissues. Dermal fillers have had a significant rise in their application for aesthetic reasons, namely to help correct skin conditions which develop as a result of ageing such as creases, folds and wrinkles and restore volume and fullness in the face. In general, dermal fillers are an effective treatment for a number of skin conditions, especially an ageing face.
Dermal fillers are often used in combination with anti-wrinkle (Botox) injections to smooth out lines and wrinkles and rejuvenate the face. Our expert clinicians will recommend the best treatment plan to meet your individual needs based on the initial consultation.
Dermal fillers are a non-surgical option in order to improve the appearance of the face. Depending upon where the filler is injected, it can correct fine lines, reduce folds and creases, minimise loss of volume, enhance lips, sculpt the jawline, and construct a better nose and/or chin. This provides many of the same benefits as a facelift or reconstructive surgery without having to go under the knife.
During your appointment, our expert clinicians will go over your goals and expectations and propose a treatment plan to achieve your desired effect. Your clinician will then lay out your treatment plan. Your procedure will then begin.
A numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area and you will wait about 15 minutes for it to take effect.
A tiny needle will be used to inject the filler into the targeted areas. Your clinician may apply ice at the same time to minimise bruising. Between treatment areas or sides of your face, your clinician may give you the opportunity to examine your face in the mirror. Your input can be used to guide the procedure as it progresses.
Our treatment uses non-permanent dermal fillers. This means that together, we can fine-tune or completely change your results. The results of your Dermal Fillers can last from six months to two years, depending on the type of filler used in your case. Dermal fillers are fast and easy. They are administered via tiny injections and the results are visible instantly. Filler injections are quick and simple and provide instant results with a minimal amount of discomfort and downtime.
Once the filler is injected under the skin, it provides the subtle change in appearance that you are looking for. Over time, the body will absorb the filler. The filler is providing nutrients and moisture to the skin and this is helping to smooth out wrinkles. This is why you will continue to see improvements in your appearance within two to four weeks and after the initial injections.
The results will vary by person and will depend on many factors such as the severity of the conditions, general health and lifestyles of the individual client.
Generally yes. However, this treatment is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women. There are many dermal fillers on the market, we recommend contacting us and speaking to one of our expert clinicians to see which dermal fillers would be best suited to your needs.
There are limited side effects with dermal fillers due to use of hyaluronic acid. Some people may encounter some redness, swelling, bruising and irritation at the injection site for a few hours and potentially for a few days after the procedure.
In the past, some clients have said that they have lumps under the skin after getting dermal fillers. This can be normal and will often go away naturally as the filler is absorbed into the skin. The lumps are not visibly noticeable and can only be noticed when pressing on the face. Some dermal fillers are more commonly associated with lumps than others.
Our clinicians will discuss all of these with you during the consultation period.
